Homologation Deadline for Custom-Built Vehicles Extended

(NewsNibs) - The Minister of Transport has authorized an extension for the homologation process of self-built vehicles, as defined in Resolution 200 from 2021. This process allows vehicle owners to ensure that their vehicles, assembled from different components, meet the necessary standards and can be legally recognized. The original deadline set for completion of this process was December 31, 2023. However, to accommodate those who have yet to complete the homologation, this period has been expanded to continue until the required legal documentation and number plates are issued. This comes as a relief to many vehicle owners who were at risk of missing the earlier deadline.
Ongoing Evaluations for Non-compliant Vehicles
Authorities are currently assessing a number of vehicles that, for various reasons, were not previously included or processed correctly under the homologation regulations.
