(NewsNibs) - Virginia Giuffre has alleged under oath in 2016 that Jeffrey Epstein paid her $15,000 to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was just 17, a claim Prince Andrew has consistently denied. Following a 2022 financial settlement of a sexual assault lawsuit filed by Giuffre against Prince Andrew, where he did not admit liability but reportedly paid £12 million, new 'Epstein papers', unveiled recently, revive scrutiny over Andrew’s ties to Epstein. Furthermore, King Charles is allegedly contemplating evicting Andrew from his Royal Lodge home, though Andrew's circle maintains that such an action is improbable due to family loyalty.
Controversial Revelation
The unsealed court documents are related to a 2017 defamation lawsuit Virginia Giuffre filed against Ghislaine Maxwell. These documents not only shed light on Giuffre's accusations of sexual abuse by another unidentified royal but also extend to her being trafficked to Epstein's influential acquaintances, including a prince, in southern France. Giuffre has described witnessing former President Bill Clinton's visits to Epstein's island and provided a stark image referring to Epstein's New York property as having a 'dungeon' with disturbing images of her and others.
The Epstein Island Enigma
Jeffrey Epstein, who faced deposition questions about Prince Andrew's alleged sexual behaviors before his death in 2019, reportedly captured covert video footage of the royal. Lawyers have now called for an investigation into the death of Epstein associate Jean-Luc Brunel, who committed suicide in a French prison in 2022. Little St James Island, often referred to as 'paedo island', attracted prominent guests like scientists, politicians, and celebrities, all of whom deny any impropriety. The island, bought by Epstein in 1998, was recently acquired by Stephen Deckoff who aims to transform it into a luxury resort.
Epstein's complex and longstanding connections with high-profile figures continue to unravel, painting a troubling picture of power, privilege, and criminality. While some aspects remain shrouded in mystery, the impact of Giuffre's allegations and the settlement have left an indelible mark on Prince Andrew's public image and the monarchy's association with the scandal that continues to evolve.
