Global Celebrations As Ram Mandir Inauguration Approaches
The global Hindu community is preparing for the inauguration of the Ram Mandir on January 22, with festivities planned worldwide.

(NewsNibs) - The Hindu Mandir Empowerment Council and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have coordinated a series of international events to celebrate the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Mandir. The main consecration ceremony, scheduled for approximately 12:30 PM Indian Standard Time on January 22nd, will be live-streamed across various global locations, including iconic places like Times Square in New York and near the Eiffel Tower in Paris. In the United States, major cities including California, Washington, and Chicago will witness car rallies as part of the celebrations.
Global Unity and Worship
Temples throughout North America are set to host prayers and festive events, underlining the significance of the occasion within the Hindu diaspora. The festivities are not confined to the American continent, though; Europe is joining in the veneration with a grand Ram Rath Yatra slated for January 21st in Paris, expected to draw participants from across the continent. Additionally, Mayor Eric Adams of New York City has recognized the event's importance for the city's Hindu community.
Apart from the physical celebrations, the digital world will be joining hands in reverence, with the ceremony being live-streamed from over 300 locations in America, 25 in the UK, 30 each in Australia and Canada, and 100 in Mauritius. Even in Muslim-majority countries like Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, live streaming is planned, highlighting the ceremony's wide-reaching and inclusive appeal.
Uniting Faith Across Borders
The VHP has indicated that programs will be held in over 160 countries, where Hindu faith is followed, showcasing the far-reaching impact and global presence of Hindu worshipers. More than 50 countries have received invitations to send representatives to Ayodhya for the inaugural ceremony, emphasizing the international acknowledgment and celebration of the occasion. Through synchronized prayers and shared screens, the inauguration of the Ram Mandir is set to unite people from myriad cultures and backgrounds in a unique global event.
