(NewsNibs) - The Special Music Boarding School at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kuliyeva was filled with music and celebration as the "New Year's Gift" concert unfolded. The event featured a host of students from various educational institutions showcasing their musical prowess. Attendees were treated to a diverse repertoire including classic pieces from both Turkmen and international composers recognized globally.
Diverse Styles and Compositions
Under the tutelage of Shemshat Amannepesova, the conservatory’s esteemed teacher and composer, the young prodigies exhibited their versatility. Their performances ranged across genres such as rock-n-roll, jazz, ragtime, boogie-woogie, and blues, infusing classical tunes with modern vibrancy. Works of Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, and others were reinterpreted, demonstrating the students' adaptability and skill.
The audience was noticeably engaged, frequently offering ovations as young talents delivered their renditions onstage. Particularly striking were performances by up-and-coming artists such as Aysha Bayramaliyeva, Aynur Geldimyradova, and notably, 7-year-old Medine Glydjova, who impressed the crowd having played the piano for merely a year.
Recognizing Musical Excellence
The jury's high ratings for Bayramaliyeva, Geldimyradova, and Glydjova translated into the awarding of honorary diplomas and commemorative gifts, as noted by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan. This event not only highlighted the exceptional abilities of the participants but also demonstrated the conservatory’s commitment to cultivating the next generation of musicians.
