(NewsNibs) - On a significant day for Ayodhya's burgeoning tourism sector, 75 building owners were collectively endowed with 'Paying Guest certificates' by the Uttar Pradesh government. Aiming to amplify the accommodation capacity in anticipation of the grand consecration ceremony of Lord Ram, the event took place in the Commissioner Auditorium. The certificates were bestowed upon the recipients by Commissioner Gaurav Dayal and District Magistrate Nitish Kumar, marking a notable step towards expanding the city's lodging facilities for visitors.
Local Authorities Advocate Quality Services
The Paying Guest Scheme has become a pivotal element in Ayodhya's hospitable image, especially with the forthcoming religious festivities. Commissioner Gaurav Dayal used this opportunity to press upon the new certificate holders the importance of offering excellent amenities to their guests. Additionally, District Magistrate Nitish Kumar highlighted that hospitality, including aspects of cleanliness and courteous behavior, was crucial in leaving a lasting positive impression on visitors, thereby fostering an environment which may lead to repeat tourism.
The Paying Guest Scheme, emblematic of the "Atithi Devo Bhava" ethos, represents a significant contribution by the UP Government's Tourism Department to the local economy. By enabling homeowners, especially those with 2 to 5 spare rooms, to join the initiative, it also creates a lucrative means for residents to generate income, with daily earnings ranging from Rs 1500 to Rs 2500 based on the caliber of room facilities offered. The inclusion of 75 new Paying Guest certified buildings takes the total number to over 500 in Ayodhya, thus significantly augmenting the city's accommodation infrastructure.
Ayodhya Prepares for Influx of Pilgrims and Tourists
As Ayodhya positions itself as a prime destination for the imminent consecration ceremony of Lord Ram, the city's transformation through the Home Stay/Paying Guest Scheme is well-timed. The consultants and authorities, including the Ayodhya Development Authority's Rakesh Singh, are ensuring that the city's infrastructure is welcoming and ready to support the hospitality needs of the expected surge of devotees and tourists. This certification not only equips building owners to contribute to the economic prosperity but equally ensures that the ancient city of Ayodhya will uphold its reputation as a city of impeccable guest service and cultural legacy.
