(NewsNibs) - The Congress party has begun a district-wide governance program aimed at executing six guarantee schemes explicitly pledged in their election manifesto. The initiative saw the active participation of District Parishad Chairperson Saritha, who spearheaded the application process for eligible individuals in the presence of local dignitaries. The program covered the villages of Beerelli, Latipuram, Venkampet, and Jammichedu. In a significant community engagement, Saritha along with other officials collected applications directly from the public, signifying a hands-on approach to governance.
Local Leaders Rally for Program Success
This governance program witnessed the attendance of various local figures, enhancing its credibility and reach. Gadwal Market Committee Vice Chairman Vakiti Sanjeevulu, Zilla Parishad CEO Kanthamma, MPTC member Chennayya, TPCC member Shankar, and others marked their presence. They echoed the sentiment of MLA Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy, who is a staunch advocate for the delivery of the six schemes to all qualified residents. During an event in Beerelli, Krishnamohan Reddy pressed officials to process applications thoroughly and seek clarification from higher authorities when needed, while also advising beneficiaries to safeguard their receipts.
Over Two Thousand Applications Received on First Day
The governance program hit the ground running with 2,187 applications filed on its inaugural day across five schemes. Within the town's 37 wards, this number accounts for a significant percentage of the 3,025 eligible households in six wards. Alampur MLA Vijayudu stressed the importance of eligible individuals taking full advantage of welfare schemes. Meanwhile, in the Undavalli Mandal, an application acceptance initiative named Abhayahastam was kick-started in both Bairapuram and Basvapuram by Additional Collector Cheerala Srinivasulu, who also set up help desks to aid applicants. Despite minor grievances from some Congress workers over a lack of basic event amenities, such as a microphone, officials were quick to provide clarifications and ensure the program's smooth operation.
Commitment to Development and Accessibility
The governance program initiatives reflect the Congress party's commitment to the development of its constituencies. Addressing this, MLA Vijayudu reasserted the party's dedication while Additional Collector Srinivasulu guaranteed beneficiaries that their needs would be met with full support from the administration. The inauguration of the governance program marks the beginning of a concerted effort that will run until January 6th, allowing ample time for eligible residents to engage with the welfare schemes laid out by the government. The participation of local authority figures such as Tehsildar Venkatrao, MPDO Anjaneya Reddy, as well as several Sarpanches and MPTC members, underscores a broad-based effort to ensure the success of governance initiatives within the region.
