Fortuna Ehrenfeld, conceived by composer, producer, and songwriter Martin Bechler, has captured the music category recognition. Their music, laced with catchy melodies and filled with lyrical complexities that explore political issues as deftly as they delve into personal retreat, demonstrated the exceptional qualities lauded by the "Unterhaus."
Additional distinguished artists receiving accolades for the year 2024 include Moritz Neumeier in cabaret and Friedemann Weise in the art of Kleinkunst or "small art." The supporting prize from the city of Mainz was bestowed upon Serbian-Austrian cabaret artist Malarina, while the Swiss comedian duo Ursus & Nadeschkin garnered the honorary prize from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
