The survey indicates that northeast beaches have captured the hearts of travelers, with Porto de Galinas in Pernambuco and Natal in Rio Grande do Norte taking the top two spots and constituting 16% of tourism package sales. Despite the tropical allure, a notable 5% of travelers opted for the wintery charm of New York City, ranking it third in preference for holiday excursions.
Within Brazilian borders, the pursuit of cooler climates and festive extravaganzas leads to Gramado, a city renowned for its Christmas spectacle, which ties with New York at 5%. The enchantment of pristine beaches continues to resonate, with Rio de Janeiro, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, and Riviera Maya in Mexico each securing 5% of the travel sales.
Further down the list is Ilhéus in Bahia, known for having the longest stretch of coastline in the state, and attracting 4% of holiday bookings. In seventh place at 4% is Buenos Aires, Argentina's vibrant capital, while the South American list is rounded off by Foz do Iguaçu in Paraná, home to the famous Iguazu Falls, which holds the tenth spot. The findings reflect a blend of traditional beach vacations and the appeal of urban and snowcapped escapes, diversifying the festive travel aspirations of Brazilian tourists.
