Feedback from the events highlighted visitor satisfaction with the detailed information provided about scheduled concerts featuring major regional stars, as well as the pricing for this year’s ski season. Montenegro's winter appeal is not solely limited to its ski resorts; its cultural and festive events are equally enticing, with one attendee noting the potential to experience a diverse New Year's program and appealing prices.
Miško Rađenović, President of the Executive Board of the NTO, expressed his satisfaction with the promotional events' outcomes and emphasized the importance of the Serbian market, which boasts a significant number of tourists. Rađenović also highlighted the media and public's warming interest in both the New Year's events and the overall winter season's offerings. Citing figures from Monstat, he mentioned a notable increase in tourist arrivals from Serbia during the first ten months of the year.
Representatives from local tourism organizations, including those from Nikšić and Kotor, shared their enthusiasm regarding visitor interest in their respective winter programs. In Nikšić, the focus is on the Vučje ski center, ideal for families and beginners, with plans for a New Year's Bazaar and performances by local bands, including an anticipated concert by Marko Louis on January 6. Kotor is preparing for its Winter Fest, a cultural festival spanning from December to February, with an impressive lineup of performers such as Severina, Dino Merlin, and YU Grupa.
Likewise, the LTO of Bar conveyed satisfaction with the response to their seven-day program, which features top Balkan artists like Lepa Brena and scheduled concerts by Andrea Demirović, Lapsus Band, and Angellina. Hotel bookings indicate a strong interest in Montenegro's coast, not just during the summer but also during the New Year festivities.
Additional promotional activities included a joint effort by the NTO and Montenegro's Embassy in Serbia at an international charity bazaar in Belgrade. Montenegrin traditional products such as wine, honey, and handcrafted souvenirs received particular interest from the attendees. With the Serbian market recognized as a significant contributor to Montenegro's tourism industry, the NTO, along with local tourism organizations, plans to continue their targeted promotional efforts.
