Meanwhile, 5% of searchers are setting their sights on the wintry allure of New York City, placing it third in popularity.
Within Brazil, the charm of cold weather and festive Christmas shows bolsters Gramado in the state of Rio Grande do Sul to fourth place, matching New York City's appeal. The list continues with an international flair for idyllic beaches; Rio de Janeiro, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, and Riviera Maya in Mexico each account for 5% of ticket and lodging sales.
Further down the list, Ilhéus in the state of Bahia, which boasts the longest coastline in the region, captures 4% of the holiday travel market. Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, claims the seventh spot, also garnering 4%. Not far behind, Foz do Iguaçu in Paraná finds itself in the tenth position, highlighting the diverse preferences of travelers during the festive season.
